Elora Gorge
The Elora Gorge is one of the most beautiful and spectacular natural area in the Grand River valley. The Grand River rushes through the gorge, which has 22-metre high cliffs. Riverside trails (with safety barriers) and scenic overlooks provide hikers with stunning views of the water far below where kayakers and tubers make their way through the rapids.
Elora Quarry
The centre of attraction at this Conservation Area is the "old swimming hole", a 0.8 hectare (two acre) former limestone quarry encircled by sheer cliffs up to 12 metres (40 feet) high. Elora Quarry did not become a conservation area until 1976, but it was a popular swimming area long before that. This 79 acre (32 hectare) day-use conservation area is tree covered.
Elora Cataract Trailway
The Elora Cataract Trailway is owned by the Grand River and Credit Valley Conservation Authorities and is managed by them in cooperation with the Elora Cataract Trailway Association. The 47 kilometre (29 mile) trail links the Grand and Credit watersheds and follows the old Canadian Pacific railroad bed.

Wellington County Museum & Archives
The Wellington County Museum and Archives is a National Historic Site. It is located in a building that stands as the oldest remaining House of Industry in Canada. It was built in 1877 as a "Poor House" or place of refuge for the poor, homeless, and destitute people in Wellington County. It operated as a Poor House and Industrial Farm until 1947 when it became a County Home for the Aged. In it was transformed into the Wellington County Museum and Archives. A new Archives wing opened in 2010.
Riverfest
Riverfest Elora is the town’s annual celebration of community and music. For its seventh edition, the festival will expand to three days in 2015, August 14, 15 and 16 in Elora’s Bissell Park. Ice Jam, Riverfest Elora’s winter music festival, will be at the Elora Mill onMarch 7, 2015.

Elora Festival
Over the years, the programming of the Elora Festival has encompassed all forms of classical music, jazz and folk. The guest musicians, conductors, singers, entertainers, and artists who have appeared at the Elora Festival over its 33 years of making beautiful music include such popular Canadian luminaries as: Maureen Forrester, Holly Cole, Sarah McLachlan, Moe Kaufman, Dame Cleo Laine, Jesse Cook, Buffy Sainte-Maire, Andre Laplante, Dame Kiri te Kanawa, Dawn Upshaw, Randy Bachman, Ben Heppner, Steven Page and many more.
Fergus Truck Show
In 1986, the Fergus Truck Show was established as a one-time event to raise funds for the Fergus & District Community Centre Complex Hall addition and to introduce area residents to the trucking industry. Today the Fergus Truck Show has grown to be North America’s largest truck show, both in paid attendance and the number of the big truck ‘Show & Shine’ contestants.

The Gorge Cinema, now celebrating its 40th year, is the longest continuously running repertory cinema in Canada. Elmira Maple Syrup Festival

Belwood Lake
Belwood Lake was created in 1942 with the construction of the Shand Dam, the first dam in Canada built solely for water control purposes. Conservation area visitors can stand on the top deck of the dam and see the vista of the Grand River valley below. A stairway along the face of the dam allows visitors to walk down to its base. The flow from the dam is used to generate hydroelectricity. The 12 km-long lake (7.5 miles) offers excellent boating, fishing and water-skiing, while a small spring-fed quarry offers an ideal spot for people to cool off on hot summer days.
